The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) actively promote the public understanding of science and technology in South Africa. Apart from providing the use of facilities at the old Observatory to the Society, they have been the lead sponsor for ScopeX (our annual Telescope and Astronomy exposition) since 2003.
